The Getty Center: Oddly like Kane's Xanadu, but without the creepiness.

So I went to the Getty Center today with my friend who was visiting for the day. It was 15 bucks to park, but entry to the center was free, so it wasn't too bad.

What a place. I can't really describe it...so here are some photos:

Lots of beautiful art...I especially loved the Bibles from the Middle Ages with their amazing hand-painted illustrations and goldleaf touches. And the gardens were pretty sweet, too.

My friend and I were caught off guard when we went to the Cafe at lunch, though, because the place's food is done by Bon Appetit, which is the same company we have at school. At least I was guaranteed that the sweet potato fries would be good, though!
