Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks eerily like Heath Ledger.

Meaning he's very good-looking, charismatic and has a great smile. If he weren't only like, 5'7" he'd probably be a big-time leading man, rather than an indie darling. He's not a bad actor, either...the most recent proof of this is his work in (500) Days of Summer, which I saw this afternoon in Century City all by my lonesome. But I didn't mind going by myself because I just really really really wanted to see this little romantic film. It's not a romantic comedy in the traditional sense because it doesn't have a happy ending (I'm not ruining anything here...it's in every review and in the opening line). I really enjoyed it, even though there were some parts that were over-the-top in the cuteness department.

Great soundtrack, too...everything from the Smiths to Hall & Oates (LOL) to...Patrick Swayze. No, I'm not kidding. It's the best use of "She's Like the Wind" since, well, probably Dirty Dancing. And any movie in which the characters gush over their love for Springsteen is A-OK in my book: "I was going to sing 'Born to Run,' but they didn't have it." (Thanks for that idea, Zooey!! That would make a great karaoke song!!)

I"m currently watching a Rolling Stones concert on TV that's from 1982. Mick Jagger is wearing tight white pants that he must have stolen from a running back. Gotta love the Stones.

EDIT 7/24: The headline of this online review makes me extremely happy.
